It is still one of the most valuable things I’ve ever been told.
We were in session, I was rehashing my victim story & she could see right through me.
She could see I was weaving myself a comfy little blanket of bullshit.
&
She called me on it.
It was brutal.
I hated her.
&
As you can see, I’ve never forgotten it.
I’m still grateful to her.
She could have let me stay there, enabling my story but she could see I had more in me & she was brave enough to call me forth.
It was the MOST LOVING thing she could do

There are many times when I wish I was as brave as she was.
When I have not called people forth in their greatness, like she did & it feels like somewhat of a failure…
A betrayal even, because I actually suspect that that is what many people truly want & expect of me.
They are looking for someone brave enough to call bullshit.
Well my loves, this is what I’m cultivating now.
A new level of fierce love that simply cannot abide wallowing BS.
I hope I’m up to the task.
